Tourette ’s disorder (TD) and pediatric OCD share overlapping genetics and clinical phenomenology. Among those with TD, 20–60% have co-occurring OCD, and among those with OCD, 20–40% have co-occurring tics. Recent literature suggests that “tic-related OCD” may be a unique clinical entity with great er similarity with TD than with OCD without tics. Delineating between tics and compulsions poses clinical challenges and has significant treatment implications.
