Crystallization, room-temperature X-ray diffraction and preliminary analysis of Kaposi's sarcoma herpesvirus LANA bound to DNA
This report describes the rational protein engineering for successful co-crystallization with DNA and X-ray diffraction data collection at room temperature on the high-brilliance third-generation synchrotron PETRA III at DESY, Germany.
Conclusions: Treatment outcome of PRCA depended upon the causes and the types of treatment, and the burden of RBC transfusion was very high in patients with ESA and thymoma-associated PRCA. PMID: 32257434 [PubMed]

Conclusions: While demographic and clinical characteristics were similar, treatment patterns changed in 2016. Future research should evaluate the impact of changing drug approvals and clinical trial results on future treatment patterns. PMID: 32256184 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]
The distinction between a uterine endometrial stromal nodule (ESN) and low-grade endometrial stromal sarcoma (LGESS) is based on the nature of the interface between the lesion and the surrounding myometrium and the presence or absence of vascular invasion. Most LGESS exhibit widespread irregular myometrial invasion with or without vascular invasion, whereas ESNs are well-circumscribed without vascular invasion. Tavassoli and Norris proposed that minor marginal irregularity (up to 3 protrusions, each
This study presents evidence that the ectopic expression of SIRT1 attenuates RAS- or MEK-driven ERK activation and reduces cellular proliferation and transformation in vitro. The attenuation of ERK activation by SIRT1 results from prompt dephosphorylation of ERK, while MEK activity remains unchanged. We identified that MKP1, a dual specific phosphatase for MAPK, was deacetylated by SIRT1. Deacetylation of MKP1 by direct interaction with SIRT1 increased the binding affinity to ERK which in turn facilitated inactivation of ERK. Taken together, these results suggest that SIRT1 would act as a tumor suppressor by modulating RAS...

Soft-tissue sarcomas represent a heterogeneous group of diseases with distinct genetic and clinical features accounting for up to 1% of cancer in adults and 15% of cancer in children. Epithelioid sarcoma is an...
This randomized trial compares the effect of doxorubicin plus olaratumab vs doxorubicin plus placebo on overall survival in patients with advanced/metastatic soft tissue sarcoma and leiomyosarcoma.
