Early percutaneous cholecystostomy versus antibiotic treatment for mild and moderate acute cholecystitis: A retrospective cohort study.
CONCLUSION: For patients with mild/moderate AC without emergent cholecystectomy, early PC might expedite sepsis resolution and improve the treatment success rate compared with antibiotic treatment alone. This result should be deemed as hypothesis-generating and should be examined in a randomized controlled trial.
