Older Adults and Research

The National Institute on Aging (NIA), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the Administration for Community Living (ACL) are collaborating on the Recruiting Older Adults into Research (ROAR) project to encourage older adults and their family caregivers, including underrepresented populations, to consider participating in research.  Organizations can join this project and collaborate with their local area aging services, public health, and research colleagues to spread a message about healthy aging and research participation. To support these efforts, a toolkit of easy-to-use, customizable materials has been created which can be downloaded in English as well as in Spanish and Chinese.
