The association between subclinical inflammation and abnormal glucose and lipid metabolisms in normal-weight Korean individuals

ConclusionSubclinical inflammation was associated with IFG, high TG levels, and low HDL-C levels in normal-weight Korean individuals. Prospective and biochemical research is necessary to clarify the role of subclinical systemic inflammation in individuals with normal body weight and its impact on insulin resistance and abnormal lipid metabolism, which promote the incidence of metabolic syndrome and cardiovascular disease.
