Completeness and correctness of acute myocardial infarction diagnoses in a medical quality register and an administrative health register.

CONCLUSIONS: The Norwegian Myocardial Infarction Register and the Norwegian Patient Register are adequately complete and correct for administrative purposes, disease surveillance, quality assessment, and research.
