The association between preoperative sepsis and 30day mortality in hip fracture patientsA cohort study.

The aim of this study was to assess the association between pre-operative sepsis and 30-day mortality after hip fracture surgery. Pre-operative sepsis in hip fracture patients was associated with an increased length of hospital stay and tended to increase mortality. Pre-operative sepsis in hip fracture patients merits more intensive surveillance and increased attention to timely treatment.
