The effect of short-term perindopril and telmisartan treatment on circulating levels of anti-inflammatory cytokines in hypertensive patients.
CONCLUSIONS: The obtained results indicate that angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors and angiotensin II receptor blockers administered for a short period of time produce a relatively week effect on anti-inflammatory cytokines, limited to interleukin-10 and stronger for telmisartan than for perindopril.
