The Need to Prioritize Education of the Public Regarding Stroke Symptoms and Faster Activation of the 9-1-1 System: Findings from the Florida-Puerto Rico CReSD Stroke Registry.

CONCLUSIONS: Following acute stroke onset, time elapsed for EMS response and transport is relatively short compared to the lengthy intervals elapsing between symptom onset and 9-1-1 system activation, regardless of demographics.
