Mucosal membrane pemphigoid (MMP) is an autoimmune disorder characterized by subepithelial blisters associated with mucous membranes such as those of the oral cavity, conjunctiva, and larynx. The report described a case of MMP in a patient allergic to corticosteroids. A 75-year-old woman complained of “painful blisters on the gingiva” with 8 months of evolution. An intraoral physical examination revealed ulceration in the lower gingiva near tooth 43. The patient reported to a follow-up with an ophthalmologist and allergy to corticosteroids.
