In this method, g-C3N4 acted as a support to enhance the electronic conductivity of Li4Ti5O12. When tested as anode materials for lithium ion batteries, the as-synthesized Li4Ti5O12/g-C3N4 composite displays a reversible capacity of as high as 150.8 mAh/g with a capacity retention of 86.8% at 0.5 C after 502 cycles. The cycling performance of the composite is enhanced, which could be attributed to the existence of g-C3N4 support.
