Suicide and Refugee Children and Adolescents

The National Child Traumatic Stress Network (NCTSN) developed this three-page fact sheet that offers information about risk and protective factors related to suicide and refugee children and adolescents. It describes how refugee children and adolescents who experience suicidal thoughts may not receive the help they need as many refugee families do not seek traditional mental health services or lack access to other sources of support.  The fact sheet also provides strategies for talking with refugee children and adolescents about suicide.
