Abstract
Tumor lysis syndrome (TLS) is a life-threatening complication comprised of hyperuricemia, hyperkalemia, hyperphosphatemia, and hypocalcemia attributed to release of intracellular contents. While traditionally associated with leukemia and lymphoma after chemotherapy, it is known to occur in solid malignancies. We herein report a rare case of this syndrome after resection of bulky carcinoid tumor of the lung.
