Aligning Anesthesiology and Perioperative Services with Value-Based Care: Proceedings of the Annual Meeting of the Association of Anesthesia Clinical Directors (AACD)

The Association of Anesthesia Clinical Directors (AACD) was founded in 1989. It is an organization rooted in the belief that anesthesiologists are in the unique position to effectively manage many aspects of patient care and administration within the perioperative period [1]. The Association's Perioperative Leadership Summit was established as a venue for perioperative medical directors, nursing leaders and administrators to gather and exchange data and ideas. “Aligning Anesthesiology and Perioperative Services with Value-Based Care” was the theme of the 2018 Perioperative Leadership Summit held in New Orleans, Louisiana on March 2–4.
