Cold Agglutinins in Mycoplasma Infection —Reply

To the Editor Dr Stein and colleagues described a patient with community-acquired pneumonia due toMycoplasma pneumoniae infection who was found to have cold agglutinins on laboratory testing. Their statement that “the presence of cold agglutinins can be suggestive of [M pneumoniae] infection ” seems misleading in light of the test characteristics they provided.
