There are a few ways to become a doctor, but they are all academically rigorous and difficult to achieve.
a) Normal undergrad entry - least competitive (normally only about 10 applicants per place), you need at least AAA.
b) Foundation medicine entry - this is for people from deprived backgrounds or those who took the wrong subjects. It is very competitive.
c) Graduate entry medicine - you do another degree first then do medicine. It is about twice as competitive as option a)
