'High-need' Genesee County funded for addictions services
With a recognition of high need for opioid treatment programs, Genesee County will receive funding to expand addiction services.
The Genesee Council on Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Inc. will receive $650,000 in federal funding through the Opioid State Targeted Response Grant. The funds funnel through New York state, which identified 19 counties in this second year of the program.
