Congenital myasthenic syndromes and myasthenia

Myasthenia gravis (MG) is a neuromuscular disease characterized by fatigability and fluctuating muscle weakness that predominantly involves ocular muscles. The aim of the current study is to study the diagnostic value of the oVEMP test for the diagnosis of MG. oVEMPs were elicited by delivering a vibration to the forehead with a handheld mini-shaker, resulting in bilateral vestibular stimulation via bone-conduction. The oVEMP was recorded by electrodes below the eyes measuring the activity of the inferior oblique muscles.
