Phytochemical and chemotaxonomic study on Medicago sativa L. (Leguminosae)

Their structures were established through extensive spectroscopic methods (1D and 2D NMR, HRESIMS and Circular Dichroism spectrum) and comparison with literature data. Compounds 1–3, 11 and 12 were reported for the first time from the genus Medicago and the family Leguminosae. The chemotaxonomic significance of the isolated compounds was discussed.
