Curcumin as a Novel Epigenetic Treatment Approach for GFI1-Associated MDS/AML

Myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) is a disease caused by an ineffective hematopoiesis. MDS can develop into acute myeloid leukemia (AML), an aggressive blood cancer of the myeloid lineage. AML patients have a poor prognosis despite treatment with intensive chemotherapy, hence alternative therapies are needed.
