The ultra-rapid synthesis of rGO/g-C3N4 composite via microwave heating with enhanced photocatalytic performance

Results of structural investigation indicated that the rGO/g-C3N4 heterostructures was successfully set up with the blend of rGO and g-C3N4, and the existence of rGO hadn’t disrupted the lattice structure of g-C3N4. The pseudo-first order kinetic constant of Rhodamine B (RhB) photodegraded by rGO/g-C3N4 under visible light is 2.86 times as large as that of g-C3N4, which could be mainly ascribed to the more efficient separation of photogenerated electron-hole pairs caused by the synergistic effect of rGO and g-C3N4.
