Allergic to penicillin? Probably not, study says
Most people who think they have a penicillin allergy really don ’t, and that mistaken belief could lead to them being prescribed less-effective, more expensive medications if they develop an infection, a new study found.
The underuse of penicillin could also contribute to the development of more drug-resistant bacteria, Pharmaceutical Journal reported.
