Charging for technology appraisal and highly specialised technology recommendations and miscellaneous amendments to NICE legislation

Department of Health and Social Care -The government is consulting on proposed changes to legislation to allow the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) to charge companies for making technology appraisal and highly specialised technology recommendations relating to their products. The consultation also outlines potential changes to the regulations to allow NICE to recruit appeal panel members from the healthcare system in the UK.
