UNC-Greensboro alumnus to lead American Nurses Association

A North Carolina native and an alumnus of the UNC-Greensboro has been elected president of the American Nurses Association. According to the Journal of Blacks in Higher Education, Ernest J. Grant will start Jan. 1. The Journal reports he will be the first man to serve as president of the organization, which represents nearly 4 million registered nurses in the U.S., 90 percent of whom are women.
