The physical features -size and granularity- of solid materials are strongly affected by trituration in lactose, before turning them into homeopathic solutions
Publication date: 1 December 2018Source: Materials Science and Engineering: C, Volume 93Author(s): D. Kalliantas, M.E. Kassalia, A. Georgiadou, Ch.S. KaragianniAbstractTrituration is a mechanical process (a form of comminution) for reducing the particle size of a substance. In this manuscript, six different Raw Solid Materials (RSM) which are used in Homeopathy after successive grindings are studied before they are turned into homeopathic solutions. The impact of trituration, with the presence of α‑lactose monohydrate (milk sugar) seems to be quite great and interesting because of the variety of grain size which largely differentiate the properties of the materials. The grain sizes obtained triturations by hand according to C. Herring's suggestion leads, finally, measurement scale dimensions. The obtained results can be useful information for all the pharmacy industries, as well as for preparing any kind of powder.
Abstract BACKGROUND: The importance of temperament in the selection of an individualized homeopathic medicine has not been evaluated systematically. The current study explored this under-researched area. MATERIALS AND METHODS: A prospective, open, randomized (1:1), two parallel arms, pilot trial was performed on patients suffering from various chronic diseases. Each patient's temperament was assessed using a newly developed "temperament diagnostic questionnaire". Outcome measures were health status using the EQ-5D-5L questionnaire and a visual analog scale (VAS) of patient's self-rated h...
May 14, 2019 -- The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has posted warning letters to five companies who produce products labeled as homeopathic for significant violations of current good manufacturing practice (CGMP) regulations. Four of the warning...
CONCLUSION: Emotional healing becomes more plausible when the patient's inner strength attains the level of strength of the disturbance, represented by "level of potency", which allows the patient to cope with his/her disturbance more successfully. PMID: 31087310 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

ConclusionWe provide new insights on factors that might increase the risk of serious AR associated with CAM use in children: products containing more than two components and simultaneously administered with conventional medications can represent a potential risk in children.Graphical abstract

ConclusionsTherefore, cultivation with homeopathy does not induce a genotoxic effect in the use of infusions and essential oil of chamomile, favoring the sustainable cultivation and the safe use of this medicinal species when cultivated with homeopathy.Graphical abstract
CONCLUSIONS: Aspirin 15 cH acts through the inhibition of the COX-2 pathway producing a clear pro-thrombotic effect. Further studies should clarify if the pro-thrombotic effect of aspirin withdrawal and the effect of aspirin 15 cH are related, as secondary effects of the same drug. Clarifying this last outcome may be of great significance to public health. PMID: 31005060 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]
Abstract Background: Acute cough is the most common symptom among children in primary care, but the impact of cough episodes was never investigated in Italian families. Methods: A cross-sectional telephone survey was conducted on a representative sample of Italian families, randomly selected from general population; a specific and validated questionnaire was used. Results: The sample (604 calls) was uniform by geographical distribution, and by children age and gender. Mean cough episode was 3.1/year, they were short lasting (only 4.7%> 2 weeks). Independent predictors of children cough e...
