Patient compliance and orthodontic treatment efficacy of Planas functional appliances with TheraMon microsensors.

CONCLUSIONS: Perfect compliance is not necessary to achieve treatment success, but patients should exhibit sufficient wear time to allow maxillary expansion to occur. The TheraMon microsensor offers a new perspective and aid to individualize treatment prescriptions.
