Texas Biomed's national primate research center to get new leader
Deepak Kaushal, acclaimed for his research in tuberculosis, as been named director of Texas Biomedical Research Institute's Southwest National Primate Research Center.
The Alamo City facility is one of seven such centers supported by the National Institutes of Health. Kaushal, recruited by Texas Biomed President and CEO Dr. Larry Schlesinger, will be responsible for leading a national operation funded by $40 million in NIH grant money.
