Experience of treatment of prosthetic valve endocarditis: a retrospective single-center cross-sectional study.

CONCLUSION: Prosthetic valve endocarditis is an infrequent complication of valve replacement. Surgical treatment has mortality rates compatible with the severity of patients' conditions.
