Case report: Cutaneous angiosarcoma of the leg in a patient with no history of lymphedema or radiation

A 71-year-old man presented with a 2-year history of red-yellow discoloration of the left lower leg. Seven months before presentation, he began to develop black nodules within the area, which he attributed to trauma. He denied any itching, bleeding, or ulceration. Medical history included diabetes, hypertension and nonmelanoma skin cancer. Physical exam revealed erythematous to violaceous, nonblanchable papules with yellow atrophic regions with overlying black crusted nodules and plaques with no evidence of lymphedema.
