Cutaneous metastasis from cholangiocarcinoma mimicking molluscum contagiosum

Case report: A 74-year-old woman was admitted to our hospital with an history of abdominal pain, astenia, anorexia and 14 kg weight loss over the previous year. The patient referred multiple asymptomatic skin lesions at right inguinal region that had appeared three weeks ago. Physical examination revealed multiple indurated 1-7 mm erythematous papules with central umbilication with lineal distribution. No icterus was present. The patient underwent routine abdominal ultrasound and laboratory examinations showed dilated intrahepatic biliary tract and elevated levels of serum alkaline phosphatase (223 U/L), GGT (436 U/L), ALT (62 U/L), AST (35 U/L), hemoglobin 9.1 g/dL, CEA and CA 19-9 negatives, and normal values of total and direct bilirubin.
