Effects of 10 MV and Flattening-Filter-Free Beams on Peripheral Dose in a Cohort of Pediatric Patients

This study assesses peripheral photon and neutron doses from volumetric modulated arc therapy (VMAT) deliveries for 10 MV FFF (flattening-filter-free) and 6 MV FFF x-ray beams compared to 6 MV-flattened beams. A significant reduction in peripheral dose was found in FFF beams compared to 6 MV-flattened beams
