Thread Starter Don't have enough work experience for medicine ?? Follow 59 minutes ago 59m ago Hi, so I'm applying for medicine this year and currently revising for the ukcat in a couple weeks. As I decided late into year 12 that I wanted to pursue medicine, I'm concerned I don't have enough work experience. I did 4 days of shadowing various doctors around multiple wards every day from 9am-4pm and visiting GPs in their clinics eg. radiology, rheumatology, the stroke unit, the respiratory clinic (this was meant to be 5 days but the Monday was a bank holiday so I couldn't go for some reason??) and that's it - I know I should probably do more but I'm scared it's too late now or I don't have enough time with the UKCAT and Bmat revision soon after Anyway, my GCSEs are 999 (3 grade 9s, A* equiv.) and 6A* and 2A and my maths, physics and chemistry a levels are predicted all A*/As but I'm worried my lack of work experience will let me down.
