OhioHealth pausing after opening four freestanding ERs in six months
OhioHealth Corp. has nearly completed a $52 million network of freestanding suburban emergency rooms after opening seven since early last year – a dizzying four of those in just six months.
A two-story New Albany ER with a primary care practice upstairs is the latest to open in June – making it the ninth for Central Ohio's largest hospital system. Although not considered a standalone, an ER also is part of the 26-bed OhioHealth Grove City Methodist Hospital opening in October.
