Cambridge's Agios wins FDA approval for second cancer drug

The FDA approved a cancer drug from Agios Pharmaceuticals Inc. on Friday after a Phase 1 clinical study found it aided a small group of patients suffering from a rare type of leukemia. Cambridge-based Agios (Nasdaq: AGIO) is developing treatments for several types of cancer, including acute myeloid meukemia, or AML.
