VigneswaranAbstractThis paper presents, an elliptical core photonic crystal fiber which promises to yield very large birefringence4.1×10−2. The optical and nonlinear properties of the fiber is also investigated theoretically. The supercontinuum generation at the pumping wavelength 1064 nm with FWHM 50 fs pulse by using very low peak power of 1 kW in both vertical and horizontal polarized mode is investigated. Primly, the influence of stimulated Raman scattering on soliton self-frequency shift is analyzed in supercontinuum generation. A red shifting of generated Raman solitons and blue shifting of dispersive wave is observed.
