Atrium Health bumps up nurses ’ pay
Atrium Health is investing $5.6 million into pay increases for its nurses.
The Charlotte-based health-care system said Thursday that the majority of nurses will receive an increase of 50 cents to $1 per hour, depending on their role.
About 9,000 employees will be impacted by the change, which goes into effect on Sunday. That news come less than a month after Atrium anno unced plans to increase its minimum wage rate to $12.50 an hour — also starting Sunday.
