When it comes to the skills doctors need in 2018, it ’s about more than medical knowledge and procedural skills, such as how to set a broken arm or diagnose pneumonia. Doctors today need competency in soft skills, said Dr. George Mejicano, senior associate dean for education at the OHSU School of Medicine.
