Use of melatonin as adjunctive therapy in neonatal sepsis: A systematic review and meta-analysis.

CONCLUSIONS: Findings showed that administration of melatonin as adjunctive therapy significantly reduced an inflammatory biomarker and improved sepsis status in neonate. Larger scale studies with higher validity are needed to demonstrate clear clinical benefits of the therapy. PMID: 30012383 [PubMed - in process]
