Outcomes of Intermediate Risk Karyotype Acute Myeloid Leukemia in First Remission Undergoing Autologous Stem Cell Transplantation Compared to Allogeneic Stem Cell Transplantation and Chemotherapy Consolidation: a Retrospective, Propensity-score Adjusted Analysis
ConclusionPatients with intermediate risk karyotype AML patients who underwent MSD-alloSCT in CR1 had the best outcomes. There were no survival differences between autoSCT, UD/MM-alloSCT and CMT. Further study incorporating molecular changes and minimal residual disease status is warranted to select appropriate patients for autoSCT.
