P 105 – Co-activation of the elbow and wrist muscle during an upper limb functional task among adults with dyskinetic cerebral palsy

Dyskinetic cerebral palsy (DCP) patients experience considerable variability in their purposeful movements due to involuntary movements that contribute to functional impairment [1]. Co-activation may represent a motor control strategy in situations with a need of increased joint stability or improved movement accuracy [2]. and may be compromised in DCP patients.
