AMF siRNA treatment of keloid through inhibition signaling pathway of RhoA/ROCK1

Treatment of KDs is challenging and the recurrence rate is high; thus, there is an unmet need to explore new target sites and new treatment methods. As a tumor-associated cytokine, autocrine motility factor (AMF) can effectively stimulate the random and directional movement of cells. We first found that AMF was overexpressed in keloid fibroblasts (KFs) and the proliferation and migration of KFs were promoted by AMF stimulation. After treatment with Y-27632, RhoA kinase inhibitor, the proliferation and migration capacity of KFs declined significantly, and type I collagen protein, active RhoA and ROCK1 also were downregulated. In addition, a KD transplantation model was established under the skin of nude mice, with KD intramural injection AMF siRNA, we found that the weight of the KD was smaller than in the control group (P
Recurrent granulation tissue or anastomotic stenosis cause major morbidity for patients undergoing lung transplantation. Common therapeutic options include bronchoscopic interventions (BI) like surgical debridement, cryotherapy, LASER coagulation, balloon bronchoplasty and stent placement. Small institutional experiences have suggested efficacy of endobronchial brachytherapy (EBB) for recurrent post-transplant bronchial stenosis (PTBS) which has an anti-inflammatory effect similar to it's use for keloids or heterotopic ossification.
In conclusion, AMF siRNA is expected to be a novel strategy to treat KD by inhibiting signaling pathway of RhoA/ROCK1.
Presently, interesting research related research to induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) is emerging. However, development of new therapies and techniques for treatment of refractory diseases is still required in dermatology. A case of an extensive keloid formation at donor site following follicular unit extraction is discussed. Hair transplant surgeons should be aware of this significant potential complication, especially in patients having previous keloidal tendencies to avoid such disastrous outcomes.
Conclusions: A low-tension or without-tension closure could be achieved with SCIP flap transplantation. The perioperative radiotherapy could further lower the risk of keloid recurrence. The sandwich therapy provides a new surgical approach to presternal keloid treatment.
Conclusion: LASCA imaging is a robust method of perfusion imaging, which combines high resolution and speed. Hypoperfusion of tissues relevant to plastic surgery such as scars, phalangeal replantations and the different burn degrees (IIa, IIb and III) can be detected by LASCA imaging with high precision. Conclusions: Corneal keloid should be suspected in cases of enlarging white glistening corneal scar after trauma. Although unusual, it can also appear after corneal infections that serve as persistent stimuli to the repair process. Management options are varied as outlined previously.
