ConclusionLa prise en charge des traumatismes urogénitaux se fait dans le contexte de l’urgence souvent en présence de lésions associées. La stratégie de prise en charge requiert une évaluation Clinique rigoureuse, un traitement précoce et efficace pour minimiser les séquelles. Urgent and delayed management of genitourinary trauma at CHU Souro Sanon de Bobo-Dioulasso.AbstractObjectiveTo analyze management of genitourinary trauma.Patients and methodsThe current study is a retrospective review done in the urology department of the University Hospital of Bobo-Dioulasso. All cases of urogenital trauma were included. Operative reports were used to collect data on the modalities of patients’ management.ResultsSixty patients were admitted for genitourinary trauma. The management was non operative for 21 patients (35%) and 39 patients were treated operatively (65%). Non-operative treatment included observation with surveillance and symptomatic management. Surgical treatment was performed in 37 patients in emergency and delayed surgery in 17 patients. It included suprapubic cystostomy (n=20, 54%), debridement and suture (n=9, 24.32%), bladder repair (n=3, 8.10%), ureter repair (n=2, 5.4%), one bilateral ureterostomy and one nephrectomy. Delayed surgery consisted to 10 urethroplasties, 3 endoscopic internal urethrotomies, urethral dilations and 2 ureterovesical reimplantations.
