Evaluation de l’antibioprophylaxie en chirurgie urologique au sein de l’Hôpital Militaire Moulay Ismail de Meknès: L’antibioprophylaxie en urologie

This study aimed to evaluate this practice in urology to determine discrepancies with international standards and propose corrective measures.Subjects and MethodsThe first phase of two months allowed for the collection of data prospectively for each patient. The second phase was determined inclusion and exclusion criteria differentiating the cards with prescribing prophylactic antibiotics or not. The last phase was devoted to the literature review to assess compliance of the decision of antibiotic prophylaxis against specific recommendations.Results and conclusionsThe results showed that the compliance of the indication of antibiotic prophylaxis was 70%; in 59 cases, and it was recommended was required, while in case 4 it was not recommended and is not prescribed. Our practice was not in accordance with the recommendations of the SFAR in 30% of cases; in 11 cases and in excess of 16 cases by default. Discrepancies in our practices of antibiotic prophylaxis in urology have been observed, leading to the development of a local protocol in line with international recommendations and ensure its dissemination and application.
