Femtosecond laser-assisted cataract surgery in pediatric patients

With the use of femtosecond laser–assisted cataract surgery (FLACS), however, the continuous curvilinear capsulorhexis can be made with predictable size, circular shape, centration, and accuracy. In addition, topical anesthesia can be used for the FLACS docking procedure in cooperative children above 6 years of age, using transparent adhesive polyurethane film segments.
