Adverse Oncologic Impact of New-Onset Diabetes Mellitus on Recurrence in Resected Pancreatic Ductal Adenocarcinoma: A Comparison With Long-standing and Non–Diabetes Mellitus Patients

Conclusions Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma with new-onset DM has worse oncologic outcomes than non-DM or long-standing DM. These results suggest that new-onset DM represents aggressive tumor biology, especially in the early stage of PDAC.
