Structural consistency of the Pain Sensitivity Questionnaire in the Cooperative Health Research In South Tyrol (CHRIS) population-based study

Pain is amongst the most common symptoms that patients report to physicians and is often critical to manage.15 Pain sensitivity reflects individual pain perception, predicts acute post-operative pain and analgesic use,1,22,35 and may relate to chronic pain development.10 It shows large interindividual variability, challenging both objective experimental testing and clinical evaluation.11,30 The assessment of pain sensitivity is an important aspect for pain therapy, progress monitoring and etiology.
