New 7-oxoabietane-type diterpenoids from the bark of Cryptomeria japonica and their xanthine oxidase inhibitory activity

Don. Their structures were elucidated mainly by NMR and HREIMS, as well as on comparison with the data of known analogues. At the concentration of 75 μM, compounds 2 and 5 exhibited 11.9 and 21.7% xanthine oxidase inhibitory activity, respectively.Graphical abstract
