ConclusionThese findings indicate that, in Korea, a low-carbohydrate diet did not increase the risk of metabolic syndrome among adults who typically consume a high-carbohydrate low-fat diet. However, it may moderately decrease the risk of reduced HDL-cholesterol levels.
