CONCLUSIONS: Male gender, exposure to high cumulative doses of prednisone, family history of early arterial vascular disease and occurrence of previous arterial thrombosis are independent risk predictors of arterial vascular events in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus. Abnormal ABI may be related to high risk for arterial vascular events. PMID: 32083548 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

ConclusionsThis research have succeeded to discover and identify three representative antithrombotic compounds of GF using an efficient integrated research strategy we established, an Omics Discriminant-Grey Correlation-Biological Activity strategy. The antithrombotic chemical makers we found could also contribute to provided more accurate index components for comprehensive quality control of GF.Graphical abstract

Alteplase is the only Food and Drug Administration-approved intravenous (IV) thrombolytic medication for acute ischemic stroke. However, multiple recent studies comparing tenecteplase and alteplase suggest that tenecteplase is at least as efficacious as alteplase with regards to neurologic improvement. When given at 0.25 milligrams per kilogram (mg/kg), tenecteplase may have less bleeding complications than alteplase as well. This narrative review evaluates the literature and addresses the practical issues with regards to the use of tenecteplase versus alteplase for acute ischemic stroke, and it recommends that physicians ...

CONCLUSION: Percutaneous rheolytic thrombectomy is safe and effective for thrombosed arteriovenous grafts, with acceptable primary and secondary patency rates. Higher clinical success was found in patients never treated before and when the procedure was carried out within 24 h from the clinical onset of thrombosis. We report a case of migration of arterial stent, placed in the right iliac vein into the right pulmonary artery which was diagnosed there and subsequently not removed for at least 3 years. Despite reports in the literature for the removal of migrated stents by mini-invasive interventional methods, in our case, this was not possible, because of the long period for which the foreign body was in the right pulmonary artery and the proximal partial occlusion of organized mural thrombus.

Authors: Herold A Abstract Hemorrhoidal disease is one of the most common illnesses in industrialized nations. Up to 70% of adults suffer from the disease once in their lifetime. This underlines the necessity and importance of knowing about the differential diagnosis of hemorrhoids. One can differentiate between differential diagnoses of symptoms (bleeding, pain, itching, tumor) and differential diagnoses of the phenotype findings (anal prolapse, mucosal prolapse and rectal prolapse, skin tags, hypertrophied anal papillae, condylomata acuminata, anal fissure, perianal venous thrombosis, anal cancer).
