Endoscopic ultrasound-guided fine-needle aspiration diagnosis of secondary tumors involving pancreas: an institution's experience

ConclusionsOur data demonstrated that metastatic clear cell renal cell carcinoma was the most common secondary tumor involving the pancreas. Secondary tumors involving the pancreas can be accurately diagnosed by EUS-FNA. Knowing the prior history of malignancy, recognizing uncommon cytomorphologic features, and performing ancillary studies are keys to improve diagnostic accuracy.

Although effective, nivolumab is associated with immune-related adverse events (irAEs). However, the occurrence of hematological irAEs is rare. Some studies have reported on nivolumab-induced thrombocytopenia. Nivolumab associated thrombocytopenia in almost all patients improved with administration of various drugs. H...

DiscussionMarginal excision of truncal or extremities ALT/WDLS results in a slightly higher local recurrence rate. However, recurrences are almost always amenable to re-resection. The findings support the use of marginal excision for truncal or extremities ALT/WDLS.

BoussonAbstractDactylitis refers to a global swelling of a finger or a toe giving it a clinical sausage-shape presentation. It is an extremely suggestive symptom as it guides the rheumatologist towards a shortlist of diagnoses. However, radiologists are less familiar with dactylitis. The aim of this review is to detail and illustrate the main causes of dactylitis using standard X-ray imaging, ultrasound, computed tomography and magnetic reso...

This study aimed to investigate the effects of ferulic acid on HeLa and Caski human cervical carcinoma cells and the molecular mechanisms involved. MATERIAL AND METHODS HeLa and Caski human cervical carcinoma cells were grown in culture and treated with increasing doses of ferulic acid. The MTT assay was used to evaluate cell viability. Flow cytometry was performed with 4',6-diamidino-2-phenylindole (DAPI) and Annexin V staining for cell apoptosis. The expression of myeloid leukemia cell differentiation-1 (Mcl-1) protein and MCL-1 mRNA were determined by Western blot and reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-...
